What a difference!!

     Due to my Sister's wedding which is planned in October and my own next February I happened to speak with my manager regarding my October plans earlier in June.  I have waited for one and half months for this day to come only to hear from them that nothing could be worked out from their side. Some ramp up happening because of which they are in need of mainframe resources. May be true but I have been so frustrated working with this guy that i do not feel like believing anything he says and can never feel he is going to do anything for his resources. I walked out of the conference room thinking to contact my engagement manager and HR with this regards. 

     

      I sent a mail to my engagement manager regarding my concern and was finding a way to get in touch with my HR to get things done in a faster manner. Surprised was I to see my engagement manager reply within five minutes. Yes within five minutes. Such good response time!! I was expecting a reply no sooner than tomorrow. He had replied me back with three lines which were so soothing. 

" I will take this up with Offshore manager and close it. You can reach me at so and so number. I am also coming to Kansas city this Thursday. 

  No need to worry about it. "

    I was so glad to read these three lines and to find someone who was at least sensible enough to hear to people and assure them to do something. 

     I replied him back letting him know that i was so glad to see his quick response and he cannot imagine how relieved I was seeing his message. To which he replied back saying "Enjoy". 

    My day though started out with a bit of frustration which i had expected gradually turned into a nice one. All thanks to my EM!!
